Our service portfolio has been broadly categorised into three following areas, each handled by a separate strategic business unit (SBU) –
(a) Network Planning and Optimization Services
(b) Network Implementation Services (including Turnkey roll-out management)
(c) Network Operations and Manpower Outsourcing Services
Each of the above SBU’s is headed by individual CEOs and has a separate management team running the SBU.
Our Network planning and optimization services SBU is headquartered out of Gurgaon. Our current head-count of 210 well trained resources is expected to go well above 400 by the end of current year. These resources are a mix of Radio network planners, transmission network planners and technicians for drive tests and site survey activities.
Our current customers include Idea, Huawei, IMRB, and Airtel for whom we regularly perform network verification and RF Site Survey activities.
Following is a brief outline of the portfolio of services offered by our Network planning and optimization SBU.
The aim of Radio Network Planning Service is to optimally deploy cutting-edge technology to design GSM network to reap maximum returns in terms of subscriber’s revenue and optimal network CAPEX and OPEX. Radio network planning takes into consideration the voice, data traffic and forecasted subscriber mobility and traffic generating trend to plan for an optimum network coverage and capacity. The main modules covered by the service are –

· Capacity Planning
· Detailed Planning for RF
· Pre-Launch Optimization
The purpose of Transmission Network Planning is to define optimised access transmission and transport network solutions and to ensure that new services and technologies together with the existing networks provide a customized network with a good expansion strategy.
NR Services has a competent team for undertaking KPI based network improvement assignments. The main tasks performed under this service are –
· Perform Field Measurements through drive tests and site surveys (as needed).
· Analysis of possible discrepancies (site selection, antenna heights, etc) between the network plan and implementation, and their potential impact to the performance.
· Recommendations for changes needed to improve network performance.
· Implementations of changes and demonstration of improvement in Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Network verification and RF Audits are sub-sets of network improvement service described above. These consist primarily of the first step i.e. field measurements through drive test and site surveys.
NR Services can undertake benchmarking of multiple networks based on a pre-agreed set of KPI’s.
With more than 12 years of solid experience in rolling out telecom networks, NR Services has a strong team capable of undertaking the most demanding of telecom projects. Our skill sets include end to end implementation of BTS, Transmission, BSC and Core Network Elements (MSC, MSS, HLR, MGW and TCSM). Additionally, we have a strong project management team capable of managing full turnkey roll-outs.
NR Services is one of the very few Indian organisations (less than 5) which are capable of end to end implementation of BSC and Core Network Elements including the cutting edge Release 4 Technology.

A good network plan needs good implementation to provide the desired results. When a site is ready for implementation, service must be brought on line as rapidly as possible without compromising the implementation quality. Installation, commissioning and integration are all carried out using NR Services’s well proven methods.

NR Services is the first organisation in India to perform end to end implementation of core networks for Nokia Siemens Networks.

Working with NR Services’s project management gives you the flexibility you want. We can simply manage our own scope of works, or take even the full responsibility for the entire project and other suppliers as well.
NR Services has proven track record of turnkey roll-outs (BSNL turnkey roll-out in Rajasthan as sub-contractors to Nokia Networks).
Project management service can be provided on activity basis as well as manpower basis to suit your requirements.
NR Services has a rich skill set of well trained technical and management resources. Using these resources and our rich experience in handling of telecom networks, we are able to engage with our customer in a variety of different models. Our offerings span a wide range starting with high involvement models like SLA based full fledged managed services and going all the way to relatively lower involvement models like supply of skilled resources based on customer’s requirement.
Using our well trained skill sets, NR Services is able to offer SLA based managed services for active as well as passive infrastructure. We have long experience in managing full turnkey roll-outs. This has helped us in acquiring and retaining a wide range of competences in active as well as passive infrastructure. Most of these resources are our on-roll employees but we do supplement our resource base on as needed basis with help of our resourcing partners.
The details of managed services package in terms of SLA’s are customized for customer requirements.
In this model, the manpower remains on the payroll of NR Services and the resources are assigned to the customer. This model is ideal for customers who either need a solution for peaks in their requirements or have a long term requirement but don’t want the additional burden of head-counts on their books.

NR Services will take care of all resource management issues (Recruitment, Pay rolling, Daily allowances, re-imbursements) and continuous skill enhancement of these resources.
Depending on customer’s requirement, NR Services can provide office space, tools (lap-tops, mobiles, tool-kits) and test equipments (Site master, VSWR Meters etc) as a part of the package.
This is a model requiring relatively lower involvement from NR Services. In this model, we shall understand customer’s requirement and facilitate the sourcing and recruitment process. The resources will be on customer’s payroll.
